Question

pink eye

Sent to Health Experts September 14, 2006 8:36 p.m.

I recently went to my doctor because my eyes were itchy, red, swollen, and they felt like there was something in them. He said I had pink eye( he did not say what kind but I belive bacterial after researching online) and he put me on anti-biotic eye drops for five days. I used the drops for 7 (still had some discomfort after 5). I normally wear contacts, I stoped when I found out I had pink eye. 10 days after seeing the doctor my eyes felt fine, I started wearing my contacts again. After wearing new contacts, got all new products for anything that was around the eye area, washing all sheets/towells, after wearing my contacts for one day I know feel like the pink eye is comming back.   Should I continue to use the drops? Should I just not where my contacts for a few more weeks? Should I go back to the doctor? Should I also be on oral antibiotics?

Are you making sure to wash your hands when you put your contacts in?

Did you buy new eye wash, cleanser, and container for the new contacts?
