I need to know if the peribronchial hilar lung disease diagnosis specified cancer? If so did they specify a stage (as opposed to just saying advanced)
My mother is currently in remission from small cell lung cancer, so in addition to being a Nurse I have done alot of research on the subject. She suffers emphysema and frequent bouts of pneuminia/URI. I know this is traumatic and the feeling of carrying it all on your shoulders while balancing your own health and life.
Give me any course of treatment they have recommended and whether she has seen the oncologist yet.
You are doing the right thing by reaching out for info. My mom's remission, I believe is directly related to a drug trial I found and discussed with her Doctor.
You are also likely correct about the pneumonia being difficult to treat because of the existing lung disease.
