Sulfamethoxazole (in combination with trimethoprim, aka Bactrim DS or Septra) is used to treat a number of infections, including lung infections, urinary tract infections, and travelers diarrhea. It is also used to prevent pneumocystits carinii pneumonia (PCP).

that still doesn't answer my question if it is used for std's. I already know the other things it is used for.
