my husband has the sweats & then gets freezing. has ...

my husband has the sweats & then gets freezing. has surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago,no temp his visiting nurse cheks his vital every 3rd day and seems to be doin godd except for weight lose.his stomach is still wide open and i chaeck that very day i think a should call the oncologist tomorroe.his appetite was good at first now he's not eating at all .should i call his oncologist in the morning

Yes - I think it is reasonable to call both his oncologist, but more importantly his surgeon.

There are number of things that come to mind based on the history you provided.

A urinary tract infection

Pneumonia - more common after abdominal surgery

Wound infection or abdominal abscess(collection of pus)

I would think that a blood count to check his white count (if elevated a possible sign of infection), a urinalysis with urine culture, and possibly a chest x-ray
