I have decided to stop taking Zoloft due to being extremely tired, weight gain, and not feeling that it was helping any longer. I am 42, had my third child in July of last year, and am approx. 65 pounds overweight. I stopped taking my 150 mg./day dose 11 days ago and am exeriencing whooshing in my head, nausea, and extreme tiredness, and pain in my neck. Are all of these tied to the withdrawal symptoms, and if so, how long can I expect them to last? I have also had hot flashes that began during my pregnancy that had lessened considerably after my baby was born, but have now returned. I had a physical in Nov, and my doctor wanted me to stay on the Zoloft, but I do not like taking medication every day. I was originally prescribed the med due to very traumatic events that were going on in my life. I am now the happily married mother of a 17, 11, and 7 month old. Please advise. Thanks for your help.

I have already checked the internet for half-life info, etc. I had also researched the common withdrawals and blogs from others who were withdrawing from this med.

Some of my symtptoms don't match others that I have found and since I have a very large deductable on my health insurance as of the start of the calendar year, I was trying to get advise on whether to pay to see my physician, when I just had a physical in Nov. as stated above.

I was hoping (and was willing to pay for) advise from someone who could tell me from experience with patients definitively whether all of my symptoms are from the Zoloft. Your info was not helpful.
