I have an IUD (mirena) in place and found out I was 7 wks pregnant. I already had an ultrasound   to rule out ectopic pregnancy and find out where IUD was but baby seems to be nicely planted in uterous with IUD still where it should be, it had not shifted in any way. My question is, should I take it out and risk miscarriage or leave it in and risk other complications like infection? The lady giving ultrasound said she thought the IUD was low enough to take out but before I saw my doctor this week, I just really wanted to be informed. thanks, any help would be wonderful. This will hopefully be my 5th healthy pregnancy with my wonderful husband of 10 years.
