Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: Lp = July 27. Regular cycle is 25 days. Continue to spot off and on. Had first beta quant(?) yest. and have to go for another tomorrow. Testing is being done - haven't ever seen dr or discussed anything at length. Very discouraged with the whole thing and the dr. office.

Hi

It is unfortunate that you have had some spotting and I can understand you must be feeling very anxious.

Spotting in early pregnancy is common and many women , not all certainly, do go on and have healthy babies.

The blood test for Bhcg is an appropriate test as its level ( the higher the better) and the trend ( should be rising rapidly each day) gives an accurate diagnostic picture of how things are progressing.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Have you had an ultrasound scan?

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: No ultrasound.

If the test comes back lower tomorrow, how quickly will something be done so that we can move on?

I think your mind begins to play tricks on you. I have felt neausus, have had headache for a day but little breast tenderness - and last week it was painful. Haven't passed anything that would seem like a fetus and haven't had painful cramping.

Of course we want to hope for the best but as this continues, it doesn't feel positive.
