Is it possible to have your period while you're pregnant?

The last time I had sex was April 1st... I had my period on March 28th. I have had regular periods since then every month, and I even took 3 pregnancy tests over that time just to make sure. The problem is that lately I have had pain up by my rib cage, like something is stuck there and now I'm scared to death that I'm pregnant and I don't know how that's even possible... I am going to the doctor, but if I am pregnant i also want to know what my options are at this point in time, because I can not keep a baby. (sigh) please help!
