how long should you rest after a threatened miscarrige?

i had a slight bleed 4 days ago and slight cramps my doctor told me over the phone it was a threatened miscarrige i have been off work scince but due to go back tuesday 24th oct. i have had no bleeding since and only slight cramps now and again.
