how accurate are er pregnancy tests?

I'm not supposed to be able to get pregnant, but Christmas Day I went to the er because I was throwing up and had a really bad headache and the doctor said that I was pregnant. I think they did a pee test, but I'm not sure they might have tested my blood because they took blood also.
