I have had my tubes tide and burned about 4 years ago, and yet I have been eatting not as much, and yet always in the restroom, and getting very tired off and on! My breast will be tender, and my periods are not normal every month, and my tummy will feel tightened and than loose! I was wondering, if after having tubes tied and burned, could there be a chance I cold get pregnant?

Hello,

Chances of pregnancy after tubal ligation are about 2.5 in 1,000 women after four years post-surgery. Out of these, approximately one half will result in ectopic pregnancy.

Complications which have been reported with tubal ligations include:

Possibly longer or heavier menstrual bleeding and more cramping.

Menstrual irregularities and prolonged bleeding. It is not fully understood why there are bleeding disorders, but two theories are:
o Reduced levels of serum progesterone or
o Interruption of the blood supply from
the uterus to the ovaries due to scar
tissue formation.

Discuss your symptoms with your GYN for an accurate diagnosis. Let me know if you have questions.
