Hi kpodolak,

Please, don't have a nervous breakdown! =) This is not an uncommon situation. In fact, many women who have undergone C-section are able to have vaginal deliveries with subsequent pregnancies.

I gather that your C-section incision has healed without any problem, is this correct?

My suggestion is that if you learned you are pregnant based on a home pregnancy test, you should make an appt. to see your OB so that you can have a blood test for absolute confirmation. A blood test is the most reliable test since this will show the HCG for certain. When you seek consultation with your OB, you will be able to discuss matters with what would be best regarding whether or not a vaginal delivery may be possible for you or whether or not a C-section would be best--and this may not be known until later in your pregnancy.

I have a friend who has 4 sons and a daughter, all no more than 14 months in between pregnancies and she underwent C-sections each time--she only wears a size zero and has a pelvis too small to make vaginal delivery an option. Other than being extremely busy with an "active" group of half-pints, she was fine soon after the C-sections and is fine now. did well throguhout her pregnancies and the deliveries.

I hope that the information I have provided with enable you to have a source of relief. Haivng a nervous breakdown isn't an option since you have a little one now and another on the way =) I wish you the best of luck.!

Reply to Susan's Post: My incision did take some time to heal. It actually broke open a little about 2 months after my delivery. I saw a plastic surgeon and it is closed now though. I do not care if I have to have another c section, i just want to make sure my uterus won't rupture during pregnancy.
