How long does it take for birth control to kick in? I just started using it for the first time ever(I started on the first day of my period, Sunday) and I had sex wednesday. Is their a possibility I could get pregnant while on my period and on birth control?

The chances are low since you are also having your period. It is suggested that the first two weeks you are on birth control to use another method.
