Sent to Health Experts July 12 2006 at 4:36 PM

I was taking the PILL and stopped before finishing the entire dose. Since I stopped on May 24th I had a period on the 26th and it lasted 6 days. I then had a period on the 20th of June. I was not feeling well during the month of June. I decided to take a pregnancy test on the 5th of July and it was positive. Sine I had a period on the 20th of June, how could a pregnancy test show positive on the 5th of July??? I thought you couldn't tell until you missed a period. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

This could have been implantation bleeding if you got pregnant close to your cycle and also caused a hormonal imbalance by stopping the BCP early and not finishing the pack. Most likely you became pregnant after your cycle on May 26th and the June bleeding you saw was implantation bleeding. Make sure and take another test to be sure that this is not a false positive but most likely your date of pregnancy was the second week of June.
