I work in a pharmacy and was wondering what pills I should not touch if I was pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

Pregnant or potentially pregnant woman should not touch broken or crushed pills. If pregnant with a male baby and the pregnant woman is exposed to the active ingredient in Propecia and Proscar, the male baby could be born with abnormalities of the male sex organs.

Avodart and Diethylstilbesterol can pass through the skin. Therefore, women who are pregnant or may be pregnant should not touch because it can pass through their skin and may cause a birth defect in their male baby

Also be careful of strong smelling/strong acting medications.

It's typically best to use gloves if your pregnant and near medication.
