Pregnancy scare!!
Sent to Health Experts August 10 11:23 PM

I'm wondering if i could be pregnant - the more i read articles online the more confused i get as i don't know how to calculate the "probability" judging from my menstrual cycles!

My last normal period started on July 12.
July 29 was the day i could have gotten pregnant (he didn't ejaculate in me, but i am worried of the 'remote' possibility of getting preganant from his pre-ejaculatory fluid if there were any).
On August 1, i took a Plan B (morning after pill) -- this would be about 67-68 hours after "exposure" (the pharmacist said the Plan B pill would be 87% effective if taken within 72 hours).
Today is August 10 -- and i'm wondering if i could use a home pregnancy test kit yet? (or is it still too early)?
I'm worried because starting August 8 or 9, my nipples started feeling sore, i was constipated and felt quite bloated, and i'm not sure if i'm experiencing unusual tiredness (or am i just getting lazy or burnt out from exercising) -- this "symptoms" were described on many websites as some of the more common early signs of pregnancy! which is why i'm freaking out!

Please let me know what you think, especially WHEN can i use my home pregnancy test that i bought from walsgreen.

thank you!

Hello,

It is doubtful you are pregnant as result of taking Plan B. I would suggest taking a home pregnancy test or obtaing a blood test from your GYN for peace of mind.

The symptoms you are experiencing may be related to hormonal fluctuation caused by Plan B.

Reply to Deborah's Post: Hi Deborah,

thank you for pointing out that the symptoms could be from the Plan B (i didn't really consider this since i did not have any of the side-effects "expected" within the first 24 hours of taking it)

but in my earlier question, i listed the dates as i wanted to know how soon i could do the pregnancy test kit? can i do it first thing tomorrow morning (first urine)? or do i need to wait a few more days or until the expected first day of my period?
