Hello! I'm Maureen and I have a question and I am looking for an answer from someone??????? !!! Since I can remember I have always had an irregular period ... some months I would get it & some months not; especially, when I was in college, I went 9 months without a single period. I knew I wasn't pregnant because I was still a virgin! :) Anyway, the first gynecologist I went to told me it was probably stress related and since I still was not sexually active at 24, opted to go what she called a "more natural way" & prescribed a progestin pill for me. After two weeks of taking this, I was severely depressed & stopped taking them.
I went to a second doctor, 4 years later with complaints of missed periods & she told me that it was probably stress & diet related .
Now, at 32 years of age( & sexually active but monogamous for 8 yrs.), I am still missing periods but just recently two months in a row I have not had a full blown period but spotting like, or light bleeding brown & pinkish red or sometimes just when I wipe for about five or six days. Is there something wrong with me?????? I guess I'm growing more concerned beecause I would like to start having a child in a few years & realize that, or at least feel that I might have problems. Please help me & give me some type of answer ! Thank you!
