getting pregnant

My partner and I have been trying for our 2nd child for about 6 months with no luck yet this month i tried the ovulation test but it was always negative is it possibe for me to have not ovulated and i also did the pregnancy test and it was negative although my period is not due till next week does this mean i'm definately not pregnant
