Hello,

How many weeks pregnant are you?

Since when have you had these pimple-like bumps? Do they pain or itch?

Have you tried rupturing any of them?

I am 24 weeks pregnant, and have had them about 2 months. They don't really rupture, just bleed a litle, and they do not hurt or itch.

Hello,

During pregnancy, the increased level of estrogen and progesterone in the body increases the production of a substance called sebum in the the skin. Sebum is produced by glands called sebaceous glands and helps in keeping the skin moisturized and smooth. But occasionally, the mouth of the glands may get clogged - the sebum collects and forms the smooth bump you have seen on the bottom and the vaginal area. This is just the same as in the teenage years when increasing hormonal levels causes pimples and acne. And the treatment of these bumps that you have now are also the same.

If you find the bumps very uncomfortable, you can use the same treatment as used to treat pimples. Clearasil ointment applied over the bumps will help to dry them up. If you are not too uncomfortable you can just scrub them daily when you take your shower. They may or may not go away when scrubbed, but will disappear spontaneously after the delivery.

I hope this helps.
