I have been on the birth control pill for the last seven years. Early this month, I got married, and I went off the pill to start trying to have a baby. I am six days late and have never been late in my life. I am moody, bloated, nausaus, and have had pain in my pelvis. I have taken a pregnancy test, and come out negative. Is this normal?

What you are going through is very normal. It can actually take about 3 months for your body to regulate again after stopping the pill. Sometimes getting pregnant can occur right away for some woman, while others it may take 3-6 months or longer. At this point, I would give it few more weeks and see if you do happen to start. If you don't, then do follow up with another pregnancy test. Also in the mean time, try taking a multi vitamin each day. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids, eat balanced meals and get plenty of sleep. If you need to for the bloating etc., you can try taking some Midol.

So for now, just know this is normal.

Congrats on the wedding as well. Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and leave *POSITIVE* feedback.
