I am a little concerned and need to at least get some answers and possibilities. Last week I was in the hospital supposively because I had an ovarian cyst rupture. It was the worst pain that I have ever experienced. I am 26 years old and have had my period since I was 14. When I first got my period I would only get it for about 2-3 days and it would be very light. I would skip every 3 months for the first year. I did have problems with ovarian cysts rupturing before when I was younger, still not comparing to the pain that I had last week, but was severe. Then it got very excessive. I have large clots of blood and and still very irregular. My periods last for about 5 days. The 1st and the 2nd days are the worst, to the point that I have to change a super plus absorbency tampon every 30-60 mins and have to wear a femine pad. My periods come anywhere from 28-45 days, which is quite a gap. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 years and are having major difficulties. It hasn't happened. My OB/GYN wanted to put me on fertility drugs as an answer to all my problems, but didn't offer any additional testing, not even to my husband. I want to know the possibilities of what is happening to me so that I can see if it is severe enough to go to a specialist.
