Dear Wayne, thankyou for your question.

Your wife is experiencing normal nausea and fatigue. I am including some information here that will help you understand more as well as a website which gives information on what you can expect as you and your wife go through this time.

Gassiness and bloating are also common but unpleasant experiences at 9 weeks.Morning sickness can happen also.

Your baby at 9 weeks is just beginning to grow and is about an inch long and weighs less than one ounce at 9 weeks. (check website for more information on this,it's incredible how the baby develops)

The size of the uterus is about the size of a cantalope at 9 wks. The mood swings and anxiety may increase at about 9 weeks . Many women have crying spells over little things and there is an increased number of hormones going through your wife's system. This can lead to fatigue which can affect moods.
