I have taken pill for 7 years and stopped and have been using other contraception since stopped. I have not had a period in over a month and taken to pregnancy tests and came out negative. I want to know how long will it take for me to regain a normal period cycle.

After stopping the pill after so long, then it will take a while for your normal cycle to commence. Three to six months is not unusual to start and set up a regular pattern and it can take up to a year to actually get pregnant.

If you are trying to get pregnant then you may want to invest in a ovulation kit, otherwise if you wish to avoid pregnancy continue to use condoms.

If your cycle doesn't start to appear in 6 months then your doctor can run blood tests to check your hormone levels.
