I had my tubes tied about 2 years ago.   I had irregular periods after the surgery. I went from a perfect 28 day cycle with 5 day flow and no cramping.   To very long (8-10 days) heavy crampy periods. My period became very unpredictable. It could come anywhere from every 12 to 21 days apart. For the past 5 months my cycle had become every 14 days with 4/5 days of bleeding. All of a sudden this month, I am now on day 29 since my last period. Wondering what could be happening now.

A little bit more back ground. I had given birth to 7 children and had 2 misscarriages prior to getting my tubes tied. After the surgery, within 6 months I did ended up pregnant once again. That ended in another miscarriage. About 8 months later I was pregnant and miscarried yet again. I have just this past month begun to have sexual relations again and thought maybe I ended up pregnant again. But the EPT turned out negative. I have had a few pregnant type symptoms to make me wonder, such as being very tired, irritable for no reason, smells bothering me. I also have had felt like I was going to get my period any minute and it just never came. I can remember that happening with a few of my children.   l would think after 4 weeks I would be showing a positve by now if that were the case of being pregnant. Plus what a miracle it would be since my husband had a vesectomy also.

Just wondering if you could shed some light on what may possibly be going on.   Could this be perimenopause? Induced back when I had my tubes tied? Since I have bled for almost 2 years so often..maybe I am finally going to get a well needed break of longer spaced out periods? Any input would be greatly apprectiated!
