DOES A THE DOCTOR TELL THE PARENT IF A CHILD OF 15 IS PREGNANT OR NOT.

My daughter is thinking of taking her 15 year old daughter to a doctor for her first female exam. If they find out that she is pregnat will they tell the parent or is up to the child to tell the parent. And will they tell the parent whether she has ever had sex before?

Hi,

If mom takes her to the doctor yes they will inform the mother she is pregnant. As for the sex part it would be extremely difficult to prove if she has had sex or not as children are far more active then they used to be and the hymen can break from a great many different things including exercise and tampon use. Very few doctors would take the chance of saying if a child is sexually active or not as it is not a definite provable thing.
