Never heard of that as a sign of pregnancy, but anything is possible.

The twitching can be because of a surge of hormones (similar to that of an orgasm) and a surge of blood.

Let me know if it is true though!

Reply to NurseElisa's Post: I felt this sensation only a week (maybe 11 days) or so after my LMP. I found out I was pregnant 3wks later and an ultrasound confirmed that I conceived around 6-7 day after I felt this sensation. Do you think that the ultrasound was off and my husband and I conceived earlier? How soon after conception does your bady have these hormone rushes?

This is the FIRST time I heard of this - but like I said, ANYTHING is possible. That must be a response to pregnancy that is very specific to your body.

Two people I know have different signs of pregnancy: their noses swell! It has never happened to them before they became pregnant and goes away about 2 weeks after they deliver. Their noses swell BEFORE they even test positive with the home pregnancy test!
Pretty amazing!

Hormone surges usually start about a week before the next menstrual cycle is due. That's why signs of pregnancy are confused with PMS in many women.

Ultrasounds are usually within 1 to 1.5 weeks of accuracy as far as gestational age of the fetus (and the age of the pregnancy). So your dates are pretty accurate!

Hope I have been helpful. Thanks for the interesting information too!
