I have struggled with chronic Bacterial Vaginosis for about 11/2 years and have been treated with Metrogel and Flagyl several times within this time period. It is thought by my OB/Gyn that the infection got started from a breast enhancement pill I chose to take. I have also gotten back "abnormal" (LGSIL?) for a little over a year. No dysplasia, but have had one colposcopy with biopsy and cryo in May. No change in the paps since then and I have been tested every 3 mo. I have put off trying to get pregnant with a 3rd child (two ages 7 and 4) for a year and I am 34.5 years old. I have also tried increased folic acid and Relagard for prevention, but it seems that I have BV symptoms after every pap. Also, on the biopsy, I hemmorraged in the office and had to be stitched with no drugs and I bled/cramped for 3 days after this last Pap? Dr. wants to do another colp./biopsy and cold cone which I am not comfortable with if we want to get pregnant. I am having trouble getting 2nd opinion?
