My daughter is pregnant and has no health insurance. She is almost 6 months and has broken out with a rash on her face. Could this be a serious symtom? She had an episode of "buzzing" feelings at work last night and had to leave because she was scared and not feeling well.

It sounds as though it could be an allergic reaction to something she came into contact with so some antibiotic ointment is safe as I cannot recommend Benadryl since she is pregnant. Also some Epsom Salts baths would be helpful as well. The buzzing feeling she may have felt could be due to becoming overtired, or anemic so she should have them check her bloodwork and make sure that all counts are level if this continues but women tend to have some dizzy spells from time to time when pregnant so if this is the first time then it would be best to make sure her attending physician is aware and monitor her condition. At any time we can become allergic to or come into contact with something that can cause a rash or reaction such as this so have her try the antibiotic ointment as that is safer for the face then Calamine lotion but if it does not improve she should be seen by her physician to see if they will not okay the Calamine lotion for the face.
