baby dropped
Sent to Health Experts September 28 02:42 PM

I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and I definitely feel like the baby dropped this week. Sometimes when I walk I feel like it is going to come out or something. I definitley am feeling more tired, uncomfortable etc. Is it to early for the baby to have dropped? Does this mean I am going to go early? How long after the baby drops do you usually deliver?

Hello,

No, it is not too early for the baby to have dropped. Some babies do drop earlier.

But, yes, there is a chance that you may not go upto 40 weeks. You may go into labor earlier but this is not fixed rule.

Generally, the baby drops about 2 weeks before the delivery, but women have been known to go to term even after the baby drops. So, in your case, you may or may not go to term, but it is better to be fully prepared to go to the hospital at any time.

I hope this helps.
