Reply to Nurse Annie's Post: I do not drink enough water or fluids for that matter. I do take atenolol and hydrochlorothiazide. I am also experiencing a strange phenomenon that I wonder could be related to this situation. My tongue feels like I have burned it with hot chocolate pretty much all the time and my skin, especially my scalp and my brows, feels like it is sunburned and my eyes feel like they are frying from the inside out. I received a vaccination for shingles during the summer and and wonder if this is a side effect of that or something totally different. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

GaPeach4,

The urine odor could be from not drinking enough fluids, and your urine is concentrated. Another possibility is that you have the beginnings of a urinary tract infection. In this case I would try to increase the amount of fluids, and see if the odor disappears. If not, then you need to see your doctor for an evaluation. If your other symptoms have started since your medications or vaccination, it's possible that this could be a side effect. I would mention this to your doctor if this is the case.

Reply to Nurse Annie's Post: Nurse Annie...So do you think the burning sensation is related to lack of fluids? And, tell me again how much this costs, please. Thanks.

GaPeach4,

It's possible, but it could also be related to side effects from the medications or shot, especially if this started right after.
