It is true that use of corticosteriods overtime can cause side effects. It will depend on how often you are getting the injections, and the dosage.
Side effects can include shrinkage of skin, aggravation of inflammation, weakened tendons, elevate blood sugar, suppress immune system, increase appetite, stomach pain, swelling of face, irregular heart beat, unusual bruises, elevated BP, thinning of bones.

If you are receiving an ongoing dosage, it is recommended that you decrease sodium in your diet, and increase protien, if needed.
