hi in december I had swimmers ear amd it seemed to clear up. then in january I had a horrible flu like episode, fever, chills and horrible sinus congestion. Now in feb my ear hurts again. i tried the swimmers ear drops, but the pain came back. i went to teh local health center and they prescribed nasonex to drain fluid behind my ear drum. they said it was not swimmers ear. i ahve been using nasonex for 5 days but my ear hurts worse. psuedafed helps. any suggestions?

Already Tried:
neomycin and hydrocortisone drops in December, psuedafed when sick in january, the drops again in Feb, then the nasonex this week for the supposed fluid but it NOT working. My ear is hurting worse.

yes thanks, i will accept the answer. I have one other question until i can get to a dr on monday. can I take nasonex and psuedafed together to help ease inflammation?

yes, you can.

But Nasonex combined with an anti-inflammatory like Motrin or Aleve, both available OTC will work better.
