I am 35. I was diagnosed with a 6 hr blood test when I was 20 of having relative hypoglycemia. I have imcredible joint pain, all joints except toes really, but is affecting my finger joints really bad within the past couple of years. I have been checked, through boodwork and exray several times for RA and Osteo-arthritis, with negative findings. I read recently in my "Hypoglycemia For Dummies" book that it can affect your joints. Is this true? Why? What can be done about it since no NSAID will help the swelling that I have found thus far. Please help if you can.

structural glycoproteins (sugar proteins) help bind together the fibers, cells, and ground substance of connective tissue. They may also help components of the tissue bind to inorganic substances, such as calcium in bone. This is why chronic low blood sugar may impact your joints.

for joint health, in your particular situation, I would recommend you try a Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement.
