Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),
Indentations in your skull are called "suture lines". They are where your skull formed and came together. When you were a baby, they were fontanels or "soft-spots". As we age, these fontanels come together almost completely, but leave suture lines. In many cases, they don't completely come together, and leave a more prominent indentation than others might have, but they are located in roughly the same spots in everyone.
There is really no correlation in headaches and how closed the fontanels are. Tension headaches often begin in the back of the head and upper neck as a band-like tightness or pressure. Tension headaches also are described as a band of pressure encircling the head with the most intense pain over the eyebrows. The pain of tension headaches usually is mild (not disabling) and bilateral (affecting both sides of the head). Tension headaches are seldom associated with nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light and sound. If you have sensitivity to light or sound, you may be experiencing migraines.
If you have no previous headache history, you may want to put a little pressure on your doctor to rule out any other problems, and also make sure that he is treating your headache the right way.
Good luck!
