Oral sex is not safe.There are several STDs that can be transmitted via oral sex such as Gonorrhea,herpes,HIV infection, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV),Yeast infections and others. Any open sores, cold sores, etc. can be a route by which the virus or bacteria can enter the bloodstream and cause an STD.Although there is risk for both partners but receptive partner is at high risk.
