MY FRIEND IS 57 YEARS OLD, FEMALE AND HAS A UNIQUE PROBLEM THAT DOCTORS CANNOT SEEM TO HELP HER WITH. SHE HAS WHAT FEELS LIKE FLUID UNDER THE SCALP. TO FEEL IT I WOULD COMPARE IT TO A SPONGE THAT IS WET AND LUMPY UNDER THE SCALP. CAN ANYTHING BE DONE TO FIND OUT WHERE THIS FLUID IS ORGINIATING FROM?

THE FLUID IS BETWEEN THE SKIN AND THE SCALP.
THE MRI, CATSCANS, AND THE SPINAL TAPS REVEALED NO DIRECTIVE ANSWER OR CAUSE AS TO WHY THE FLUID IS PRESENT. THEY KNOW ITS THERE, THEY CAN FEEL IT THEY JUST DONT KNOW WHY

WE ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING THIS ANSWER BECAUSE NEUROLOGISTS AND THE OTHER DOCS HAVE ALL LOOKED AT THESE TEST RESULTS........WHAT WOULD DETOUR THEM TO NOT ASPIRATE THE FLUID? AND SINCE THEY HAVE NOT DONE THIS TEST ON THE FLUID, HOW WILL MY FRIEND CONTINUE ON LIKE THIS WITH THESE RE-OCCURING EPISODES WITHOUT CONFIRMING WHAT THE EXACT PROBLEM IS.........

I want to thank you for all your help but it hasn't answered my problem. As I had told you, my friend had MRI's done, Cat Scans, done, Spinal taps done and was also sent to two specialist doctors. All the test came back negative. It still doesn't solve her problem or even answer the problem. What causes the fluid, where is it coming from, and how does she fix it if all the doctors are saying they dont see it on the tests, and we cannot test the fluid because we dont know where its coming from. Her own family doctor has told her, if the specialist can't fix the problem how do you expect me to.
I was just hoping there were other people out there with the same problem or a doctor that has heard of the problem and would be able to help.
The doctors on line are telling me to do things, I have already done or get someone to test the fluid which she has tried to do.
So in all honesty I don't think any of the 7000 doctors have helped me. Sorry for taking up your time
