A low T3 uptake can mean hypothyroidism, it can also be due to imbalance of protein levels.
Similarly, T4 can mean higher thyroid hormones, it can also mean a protein imbalance in the blood.
Both of these tests are affected by a number of factors including being on OCP, pregnancy, etc. Both these tests are not considered reliable now.
Abnormalities in these tests need further checkup, you should discuss with your doctor about further tests, specially Free T4 and Total T3. These two tests would be most important for determining whether you have a normal thyroid or not.
