Hi

This is a type of fracture of the T12 thoracic vertebrae - on of the back bones. Where one portion of the bone "collapses" and the bone takes on a "wedge like" shape.

A wedge fracture is usually indicative of osteoporosis.

Such fractures can cause a lot of pain but will heal over 6-8 weeks without ant special treatment.
