hand/arm numbness

My right hand has been numb for the past few weeks. It started out with two fingers being numb and now my whole hand. It's hard to make a fist. It feels like muscles tightening up. I've been told by a few people that it's not cts because it doesn't come on that fast, and some have told me that's what it sounds like. I can barely hold a pen to write my name. I can't keep a hold of anything with this hand and it's the one I use for everything. What do you think it is?
