what are the treatment options for a blocked salivary gland ?

I have a blocked salivary gland and im wondering what the options are for treatment I am concerned as one option I have been given is that the gland is removed but i hear that can cause you to have partial facial numbness or it can even be perment I am wondering what all the options are
