Fluids need to be given at a good rate as with young children dehydration can set in pretty fast. Milk can prolong loose stools so at this time should be avoided. Yogurt, rice, dry toast, and bananas can help with mild cases of diarrhea. It would be advise to add electrolytes solutions as well which can prevent dehydration. Also feeding a high fiber and protein diet can help with diarrhea. I hope this information will be helpful to you.
