I have a large lump on my shin it has been there about ...

I have a large lump on my shin it has been there about 2 months I had some x rays to show a stress fracture im not a runner or any thing. I go monday for a bone scan but now I have another lump coming up on the same leg about 3 inches down from the other the lumps are quite painful if this was a tumor of some sort would it have showd up on either of the 2 x rays?
