Sent to Health Experts January 06, 2006 2:43 a.m.

My breast itch and I've been scratching them, they have little scabs on them in circles. It came once before and went away. Tonight I used some of my moms diabet aid lotion and they quit itching. Do you know what this might be? Also I have a red bump on my leg, it doesn't itch or hurt or anything. Do you know what it might be?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Dear Jelly,
there are quite a few causes for breast itching, the diagnosis can only be confirmed by visiting a doctor, however here are the common possibilities:
  • Scabies (mites)
  • Eczema
  • Fungal Infection
Almost all these conditions will respond temporarily to Diabet Aid lotion, however if this problem happens repeatedly get yourself examined for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
In the meantime avoid using soaps and perfumes on the itchy areas, and use a moisturiser right after bathing.
