I had a CAT scan for abdominal pain last weekend in the ER. It turned out my appendix is OK. An incidental finding was a splenic artery aneurysm. I am a 44 year old woman with 7 children. What are the implications for this kind of aneurysm?

Actually most splenic artery aneurysms are found incidentally. They happen more in females and having had multiple pregnancies is a risk factor. The implication is based on size and the finding will need to be followed with periodic imaging

If it is small and you are not having any more babies things look good
