I have what I think is an ingrown pubic hair that has now become infected. I went to the doc a couple of days ago, all he did was prescribe antibiotics. Since then it has swelled and become painful to the point of having to leave work due to the pain. I feel like the doc should have drained it or something. Is that wrong? I have been applying moist heat and letting some of the puss out, but it seems to be a slow process. What do you suggest I do?
