I have a 7 mm noncalcified lung nodule in the right inferior lung base. My Oncologist suggested that I have the nodule removed. She said the surgeon would localize the nodule with a wire and wedge the it out. How extensive is this type of surgery? I have a hx of adneocarcinoma of the sigmoid colon 6/04 that was surgically removed, but I had lymphnode involvement.
