It is very possible that she is getting bed sores, or pressure sores on her heels. I highly suggest getting her some heel protectors made of gel. When she is lying down she will need to place pillows under her calves so that her heels don't touch the bed. These are the best methods to help healing of already injured heels due to pressure.
