My son has Alopecia. He started out when he was younger having bald spots on his legs. He later developed bald spots on his head with his hair falling out in clumps. He periodically gets injections of cortisone that sometime help with hair growth. What are the long term affects of cortisone injections and can anything be done about Alopecia and what causes it?

There is an organization that has the latest and greatest info soley related to Alopecia. What is beneficial in your case is there is a "Kids Connect" area that can help your son as well. mI feel this is the best source of info available for self help and support other than your own dermatologist or internist.
