I have a 14 year old daughter who is just shy of 6 feet tall and weighs only 112lbs. She has been having stomach pain, bleeding from her rectum, sometimes feels sick to her stomach, sometimes diarhea. She has been through CT scan, Colonoscopy and Endoscopy(last January), blood work, and urinalysis- everything comes back okay. She has been to two different ped. GI's and the first one wants her see a shrink to get anti-depressants. The second one was thinking Celiac Disease. He does not know the reesults from his testing yet on that but is thinking that it is not that because her blood work is fine. I have taken it upon myself to put her on a gluten free diet starting today 2/23/06 to see if that will help. I really do not know what else to do and do not know what else this could be. Any suggestions?
