My son is very obsessive about sitting up against
Sent to Health Experts February 24 12:51 PM

My son is very obsessive about sitting up against things. It started with the dogs then stuffed animals now its everything including book, blanket, the corner, babies and food. He will back up against it then spends the whole time adjusting himself to sit just right like hes right in front of it and seems like hes sitting on it then he fold his hands and feet then does it over. Hes been doing it since he was 10 months and now is 18 months. Do you have any idea why hes doing this?

I'm not sure if there is any one answer to your son's problem. It could be that whenever he is sitting, he needs to have his back against something to avoid the "element of surprise". Some people are like that (me in particular). Or it could be that since he has been doing it from the age of 18 mos., he has formed an impulsive habit.

He hasnt been doing it since 18 months he is 18 months right now and has been doing it since he was 10 months. I think its more like an obsessive thing because if he cant get whatever it is he wants to sit against behind him just right he gets angry or cry's sometimes he will do this with the same thing for 20 minutes.
